Our Wish List ...
There are always needs, big and small, around the Welcome Home facility. Here are some of the current needs we are praying about. Contact us if you or your church are interested in funding or providing any of these:
- Supporting Partners — churches, groups, and individuals to help underwrite the general operating budget at a level of $2400 or more per year.
- Amigos — churches, groups, individuals to sponsor our Welcome Home children at the level of $100 per month per child.
- A 4-wheel drive vehicle to facilitate transporting children and supplies during inclement weather on dirt roads. Ideal vehicle would be a mid-90s, or newer, 4-door Jeep Cherokee.
- A pickup with construction utility bed.
- Buildings and grounds…
- Lay concrete driveway in our main gate entryway – estimate $200.
- Fumigation of buildings (for termites, ants) – estimate $300 (or someone who can do this work)
- Replace carpet in lounges of east dormitory – estimate $1800
- Solar-powered, motion-sensor security flood lights for perimeter walls of compound
- Replace chains on playground swing set – estimate $150
- Paint and labor for entire complex exterior - estimate $4000
- For our school and office…
- Clothes washer, large capacity.
- Disposable products: toilet paper, napkins, paper towels, garbage bags (large and medium)
- Drafting-table type chairs, adjustable height, for children's computer lab (4-6).
- Copier-business type, large capacity - working!
- Sand for playground - estimate $200.
- For our shop…
- 6’ step and/or multi-position ladders – or any form of scaffolding
- Carpenter squares, pencils, utility knives, hammers, masonry spatulas
- Electric pneumatic chisel/shovel
- Table saw
- Paint brushes, rollers, drop cloths
