The Christian staff members at Welcome Home desire that all people might have the opportunity to learn of and accept God’s plan of salvation. Co-director Abel Hurtado has the heart of a pastor and is a gifted evangelist and worship leader who loves to preach the Word in farm camps. Short-term missions teams visiting Welcome Home will be challenged to minister along with us in farm camps – through the preaching of God’s Word and praying for individuals’ needs, through Bible stories, through music, through puppet or drama ministry, through distribution of food and clothing, through play and building relationships.

Ministering in the farm camp communities is a “must” activity for all visiting teams.

Teams will also be encouraged to visit in a local alcohol and drub rehabilitation center where Christ is taught and honored. Hearing the testimonies of those who have been redeemed and rehabilitated by God, as well as visiting with those on the road to recovery, is guaranteed to make a lasting impression.
